Community Guidelines

At Hobbmate, we strive to create an fruitful, inspiring and healthy community for passionate people around the globe. But not all content is appropriate for a broad audience, so we created these guidelines to depict what kind of content we do and do not allow on Hobbmate. For this, you are required to follow all of these Community Guidelines listed below to ensure a good time for others on the platform as well. A lot of time was put into thinking about the different points of view that create a safe and open environment for everyone. We created the Community Guidelines so you can help us foster and protect this phenomenal community. By using Hobbmate, you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Use along with our Privacy Policy. We’re committed to these guidelines and we hope you are too. In some cases, we may allow content for public awareness which would otherwise go against our Community Guidelines – if it is newsworthy and in the public interest. We do this only after weighing the public interest value against the risk of harm and we look to international human rights standards to make these judgments.

Please Note: Involving in any of the following can result in Temporary Account Ban, and more likely a Permanent Account Ban, Deleted Content, or other restrictions.

 


Do

1.  Follow the law.

 

Please do not support/praise or plan terrorism, organised crime, or hate groups. Offering sexual services, buying or selling firearms and illegal or prescription drugs (even if any of these are legally allowed by your local law) are strictly not allowed.
Always follow the law when offering/selling/buying/promoting/sponsoring any other regulated goods through Hobbmate.Promoting online gambling, online real money games of skill, online lotteries must get our prior written permission before using any of the products.

We have zero tolerance when it comes to sharing sexual content involving minors, threatening to post intimate images of others, spreading hate or fake news, trying to impersonate someone else or scamming people for money or other profits, we may work with law enforcement wherever necessary. Do

2. Share content that you’ve created or have the right to share.

 

You own the content you create directly through Hobbmate or other medium. Please post authentic and genuine content that you create or have legal rights to, do not post any type of content that was stolen/copied/collected from other parts of the internet or you do not have rights to post. Don't

3. Don’t bully/abuse/creep anyone.

 

Bullying or abusing any other member of the community is never allowed. We also have no tolerance towards online sexual objectification, creeping or stalking a member of the community. Please use the platform for positive and fostering communication and sharing things you’re passionate about and respect other people’s diverse interests and private space.

4. Don’t discriminate or attack anyone.

 

We aim to foster a diverse and inspiring community. Any content or account that contains credible threats or hate speech, targets private individuals to degrade or shame them, personal information meant to blackmail or harass someone, and repeated unwanted messages, are strictly not allowed. We may allow stronger conversation around people who are featured in the news or have a large public audience due to their profession or chosen activities.

Never encourage violence or attack anyone based on their :-

  • Race

  • Skin Color

  • Ethnicity

  • Nationality

  • Immigration Status

  • Accent

  • Religious affiliation

  • Caste

  • Sexual orientation

  • Sex

  • Gender

  • Gender identity

  • Diseases

  • Body deformations

  • Disabilities
     

Threats of harm to personal or public safety aren't allowed. This includes specific threats of physical harm as well as threats of theft, vandalism, and other financial harm. We carefully review reports of threats and consider many things when determining whether a threat is credible and may work with law enforcement wherever necessary.

 


Don't

5. Don’t provoke hate among audience. 

 

Please do not spread false information or hate provoking content through the platform. We have zero tolerance towards hate spreading or provoking content especially when aimed to target an attack on one or more of the specific groups mentioned in point 4 above.

Don't

6. Don’t post graphic/disturbing content or encourage self-injury.

 

Please avoid posting graphic/disturbing content on the platform. Any kind of brutal injury/harm/cutting/suffering related videos are not allowed.

Please keep the Hobbmate community an inspiring place for passionate people. Do not attack people based on points mentioned in Point 4 above, also do not encourage anyone for any kinds of self-injury or harm, as it might have detrimental effects on the mental health of other members of the community. Don't

7. Don’t post inappropriate content like nudity or pornographic content.

 

Hobbmate doesn’t allow nudity or similar content that the community might find inappropriate for the platform. This might include photos, videos, or digitally-created content that shows or suggests sexual intercourse, genitals, female nipples and close-ups of fully nude buttocks. 

However, we might allow nudity in art, sculptures, post-mastectomy scarring, and women breastfeeding, wherever appropriate.

 

Don't

8. Don’t spam or scam.

 

Only genuine interactions are the most valuable on Hobbmate. Please do not artificially collect likes/followers or shares. 

Do not spam by posting repetitive content, comments or self-promotion, or repeatedly contacting people for commercial or other purposes without their consent.  

Any actions related to scamming/phishing/fraud/hacking or stealing money through deceitful practices are strictly prohibited and we may work with law enforcement wherever necessary.

 

Do

9. Respect child safety

 

You are free to share photos or videos of your children on the platform. However, in some cases, we may remove content containing nude or partially-nude children even if its shared with good intentions, it could potentially be used by some in unanticipated ways. 10. Help us protect the community

  • You play an important part in ensuring the platform stay up to the mark with its quality community members and content. If you see something that you think violates our guidelines, please help us by using our built-in reporting option. Our special team reviews these reports as quickly as possible to remove content that doesn’t meet our guidelines. Even if you or someone you know doesn’t have an Hobbmate account, you can still file a report. When you complete the report, try to provide as much information as possible, such as links, usernames, and descriptions of the content, so we can find and review it quickly. We may remove entire posts if either the imagery or associated captions violate our guidelines. 

  • You may come across content you don’t like, but doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines. If that happens, you can unfollow or block the person who posted it. If there's something you don't like in a comment on one of your posts, you can delete that comment.

  • Many disputes and misunderstandings can be resolved directly between members of the community. If one of your photos or videos was posted by someone else, you could try commenting on the post and asking the person to take it down. If that doesn’t work, you can file a copyright report. If you believe someone is violating your trademark, you can file a trademark report. Don't target the person who posted it by posting screenshots and drawing attention to the situation because that may be classified as harassment.

  • We may work with law enforcement, including when we believe that there’s risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.

The effective date of these Community Guidelines is March 30, 2021. These Community Guidelines were written in English (US). To the extent any translated version of these Community Guidelines conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.
